Composite and PVC Decks

Composite (or synthetic decks) are a top choice here in NE Massachusetts and throughout the country. Wood is a traditional material for decks but can encompass issues without proper routine maintenance. These include warping, cupping, splitting, fading and a number of other issues. Composite decks are low maintenance and perform better than pressure-treated wood. They will not warp, cup, split, or fade. However, low maintenance does not mean “no” maintenance, as a composite deck will still need to be cleaned and spills addressed in a timely fashion to keep them in optimal condition.

Waltham, MA, Custom Low-Maintenance Deck


This outdoor oasis in Waltham, MA includes a custom low-maintenance deck built alongside a cobblestone hardscape. The deck features a fenestrated custom curved bench which consists of placing decking boards on edge to add comfort to the design. Granite steps blend the two spaces together effortlessly while the tranquil sounds of a custom water feature play in the background.
